As a Texas wedding photographer, I get to witness so many beautiful love stories—but Maddie and Sebastian’s wedding at The French Farmhouse Venue was truly something special.
Nestled in the rolling countryside just outside Dallas, The French Farmhouse was the perfect location for this joyful spring wedding. With golden sunlight and soft blooms everywhere you turned, it was a dream day from start to finish.

Maddie and Sebastian met while attending Baylor University. From campus strolls and late-night study sessions to attending sorority and fraternity events together, their bond only deepened through college. Watching their love story come full circle on their wedding day was such a privilege.
The couple exchanged vows in The French Farmhouse’s picturesque white chapel—an architectural gem with tall windows that poured in the most ethereal natural light. As Maddie entered, framed in soft sunlight, a collective hush fell over the room.
Sebastian’s eyes welled with emotion as he saw his bride walking toward him. The ceremony was filled with heartfelt words, joyful laughter, and reverent stillness that made the moment feel almost sacred.
Once they were pronounced husband and wife, the celebration rang out—literally! Maddie and Sebastian stepped outside and rang the venue’s signature brass bell, a tradition at The French Farmhouse that symbolizes the start of a new life together. It echoed through the trees as guests clapped and cheered.

The reception space was decked out in elegant floral installations by Betsy Baldwin, and thoughtful touches that felt uniquely Maddie and Sebastian. One of the standout details? Their custom Golden Goose sneakers, which they changed into for the reception.
Not only were they stylish, but they also turned out to be the perfect party shoes as the couple tore up the dance floor with their guests. From their first dance to doing limbo with their guests, every moment was pure celebration.
One of the most touching moments of the evening came when Maddie surprised her guests with two emotional dances—one with her mom and one with her brother. These weren’t just dances; they were heartfelt tributes to the people who had helped shape her into the woman she is today.
Maddie and her mom swayed to a meaningful song that brought nearly every guest to tears, and her dance with her brother was full of laughs, warmth, and deep sibling connection. You could feel how close they were as they twirled and smiled together—such a powerful, personal touch that made the reception feel all the more special.
The food, catered by Blue Mesa Grill, was vibrant and flavorful—perfectly suited for the laid-back, fun-loving atmosphere. And with DJ Connections bringing the energy all night, the dance floor stayed full from the first beat to the final send-off.

As a Texas wedding photographer, spring is one of my favorite times to shoot. The light is golden, the blooms are fresh, and the energy is vibrant. The French Farmhouse especially shines in this season—its clean architecture, spacious grounds, and intimate charm create the perfect canvas for capturing unforgettable wedding moments.

Thank you for trusting me to document your day. Your kindness, joy, and connection were so easy to photograph—and it was truly an honor to be part of your story.
A huge shoutout to the dream team who brought this day to life:
